Accounts Payable Officer

About the role: As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a key role in the finance team by managing the accounts payable function and supporting the Finance Manager in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, managing supplier relationships, handling multi-currency transactions, contributing to reconciliations and month-end processes, ensuring timely payments and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:  Timely and accurate processing of domestic and international supplier invoices, ensuring payments are made in accordance with payment terms and company policies.Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, address payment discrepancies, and manage supplier queries to ensure smooth operations.Handle multi-currency transactions, including reconciling exchange rates and processing payments for international suppliers.Reconcile accounts payable ledger entries, supplier statements, and assist with month-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial records.Provide accurate financial records and support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.Assist with various ad-hoc finance tasks and special projects as required, demonstrating flexibility in responding to urgent needs.Occasionally provide additional support in administrative areas when required to ensure smooth team operations. Candidate eligibility requirements At least 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, handling high-volume transactions and reconciliations.Experience in fast-paced industries, with manufacturing experience preferred.Proficiency in accounting software, with SAP experience highly regarded.Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create formulas and analyze data.Strong understanding of multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange reconciliations.Experience supporting month-end processes and audits.Soft & Behavioural Skills:High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.Proactive & self-motivated with the ability to work independently / as part of a team.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
