As an Accounts Payable Officer, you'll be a key part of our finance team, supporting major infrastructure projects and capital works that will transform and enhance the airport experience for millions.
This role is an opportunity to leverage your AP experience to manage invoices and payments, with a network of vendors and suppliers critical to Melbourne Airport's development and successes.
You'll be a go-to finance point of contact, ensuring smooth financial operations for core processes such as vendor set-up, purchase orders, and compliance.
Reporting directly to the Senior Accountant, you'll maintain the highest standards of financial integrity, helping to drive efficiencies while ensuring timely, accurate payments.

Key responsibilities: Receive, review, and accurately process invoices in line with company policies.Prepare, schedule, and execute vendor payments, ensuring timeliness.Reconcile vendor statements and promptly resolve any discrepancies.Manage vendor set-up, maintain records, and address vendor inquiries.Reconcile accounts payable transactions and support month- and year-end closing.Ensure compliance with internal controls, credit card policies, and assist with audits.Reconcile corporate credit cards and provide employee support on card use.Identify and implement process improvements within the accounts payable function.Provide support and training to internal stakeholders on payment processes.Support the finance team with administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects.The successful candidate will have: Experience of working in a corporate environment in a medium to large sized organisationPrevious experience in accounts payable or similar roleIntermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)Proficiency in accounting software (eg.
