About the role
VMCH Accounts payable team is looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join this supportive team. This full-time position reports to the AP Team Leader and is a golden opportunity to develop your AP skills.
About you
You will have 1 – 2 years of experience processing Accounts Payable invoices in a high-volume setting, with excellent attention to detail and highly accurate data input skills. Your customer service and communication skills will be top-notch, as you will be managing queries from vendors and internal managers and working to resolve issues.
Skills and experience
Proven work experience in an accounts payable or similar role
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and medium/large scale accounting software
Excellent numeracy skills
Prior experience handling high volume invoices
Ability to take initiative and work independently
An understanding of GST and other financial legislative requirements impacting the accounts payable function
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable skills and experience
Strong commitment to customer service
Efficient and well-organised
Excellent attention to detail
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience working with Epicor, Docstar, and Arm
