About the role Based in Brisbane the Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for contributing to the effective functioning of the finance team and undertake processing tasks in relation to accounts payable and other accounting processes, prepare reports, reconciliations and correspondence and build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Please note: This is a 12 month fixed-term contract. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:
Carry out processing functions including invoice entry via automated accounts payable system, Supplier setup and maintenance, Purchase Order amendments and payment of suppliers. Manage or provide assistance with undertaking various other finance functions as required, including inbox management. Liaise with internal and external clients to answer account payable queries and provide advice. Provide support to all members of the Finance team when required and directed by the Accounts Payable Supervisor. Contribute to identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness of work practices and processes. About You As the ideal candidate, you will be an experienced Accounts Payable Officer who has a passion for process with a strong stakeholder engagement skillset. You will have a positive attitude and enjoy working autonomously part of a larger team. You thrive with dealing with multiple priorities with your exceptional time management skills.
You will have: About You Minimum of 3+ years of experience in accounts payable Demonstrated experience in data entry in financial systems Demonstrated experience in financial processing and associated validation techniques. Demonstrated ability in utilising financial management systems and Microsoft Office suite. Intermediate Excel skills. Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and accuracy Demonstrated ability to work with people and teams and contribute to a positive and high-performance team. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Experience in providing customer focussed services. Demonstrated success in working in a team environment and independently.
