Accounts Payable Officer - 6 Month Contract

Our client is a large, very well established service business located in Yatala. They have been growing and diversifying the business for the last couple of years and it has lead to a bit of a backlog!

They are now looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to help get on top of the backlogged invoices and help get the payables team running like a well oiled machine once more.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be involved in -
Entering invoices that have not been scanned Locating missing purchase order numbers Calling suppliers to find missing information Working with other departments to solve issues Statement reconciliations Assisting with payment runs Assisting with process improvement of new automations This role will suit someone who is immediately available who enjoys rolling their sleeves up and methodically getting to the bottom of issues. You will enjoy investigating and reconciling, and be happy to pick up the phone to talk to other departments or companies. Accounts payable experience and ideally exposure to an ERP system are required.

You will work with a great team who work hard but like to keep the workplace light and friendly. The role can either be on a temporary basis or fixed term contract but we do ask that you commit for the 6 months until end of May 2025
