We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team in Ballarat. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate processing of invoices and maintaining positive vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
About the roleReconcile purchase invoices with goods received to ensure accuracy and completeness.Process credit claims for shortages, damages, pricing discrepancies, samples, and returns to suppliers.Conduct invoice and credit reconciliations against supplier statements to resolve any discrepancies.Collaborate with the Warehouse and Purchasing departments to maintain accurate inventory data and levels.Monitor and manage supplier/vendor price changes, ensuring that all records are updated accordingly.Administer supplier/vendor rebates, tracking eligibility and processing related payments.Ensure all Accounts Payable filing is up to date.This position is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of permanent ongoing work.About youAt least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable.Strong attention to detail is essential.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Experience in communicating with suppliers via email and phone.Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Office 365; experience with Business Central will be highly regarded.Previous experience in the foodservice industry, particularly in warehousing and inventory, is highly desirable.Ability to prioritise tasks and multitask effectively in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining accuracy amidst interruptions.A collaborative team player with a problem-solving attitude, capable of clearly articulating issues and working towards solutions.Eagerness to learn new processes and take on additional responsibilities as needed.Strong writing skills with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.Demonstrated strong work ethic.Joining our teamStaff discounts on over 6000 products.Free Onsite Parking.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).You must have the right to work in Australia full time.
