Partnering with some of the largest developers and Infrastructure owners in the state, we pride ourselves on being able to deliver projects on time and on budget. Due to this, we currently have an exciting opportunity available for an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Finance team.
Reporting to the Team Lead and Senior Accountant, you will be working closely with the broader Finance team, liaising with our site based project teams and various internal and external stakeholders. The role is varied and whilst your first port of call is accounts payable, there is a component which will see you working with a broad range of stakeholders.
About the roleThis role will be responsible for the following:
Verifying the accuracy of invoices against dockets and statementsProcessing creditor payments, match invoices to PO's, verifying goods received, and data entryReconciling bank statements by comparing statements with the general ledger and escalating any discrepancies.Entering and updating data within the designated Rokon systems and ensure data is backed up as necessary to support company requirements.Compiling and generating reports and verifying as required.Identifying opportunities for improvement related to business processes or systemsLiaising with a variety of stakeholders to check on invoicing and payments.About youMinimum 1-2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable roleBookkeeping, business administration or accounting related qualifications an advantageAttention to detail and a focus on getting things done "right first time"Able to learn new software applications/ systemsEffective organisational and planning skills and an ability to multi-taskStrong computer literacy skills and the ability to use MS suite, specifically Word, Excel and OutlookPrevious experience using Jobpac or similar accounting systems and document management systems such as MFiles, an advantageStrong numerical ability and data entry skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer service focus and enjoy working in a team environmentPositive, self-motivated with a can-do attitudeOn OfferBesides a generous Salary Package, Rokon provides a family oriented and supportive workplace environment with defined and genuine training and career development opportunities - take the role by the horns and make it your own!
