This is an exciting role for a finance professional that wants to contribute to the success of the EPA as it enters a new era of environmental protection in Victoria. Working under direction of the Financial Controller, you will actively contribute to a positive organisational culture and ensure you achieve the highest standards of performance and integrity; and foster genuine partnerships across all levels of government, industry, and community to support the delivery organisational outcomes.
In this role you will: Use your initiative to prioritise tasks and monitor your workflow in the delivery of organisational priorities in accordance with approved project / service plans, achieving the highest standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, ethics, and integrity.Actively contribute to the development of a positive and high performing team culture, including by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve teamwork practices.Provide efficient financial services and support to EPA staff including planning, leading and facilitating consultative processes involving more difficult accounts payable and corporate card issues; provide advice and training to EPA staff in relation to accounts payable.Manage EPA's corporate card services, including performing the duties of the Corporate Card administrator, maintaining the currency of credit card information and following up outstanding transactional issues; review and update EPA's Corporate Card policies to ensure compliance with whole of Victorian Government purchasing card guidelines.Skills and experience: A relevant tertiary degree and/or post graduate qualifications in business management or a related discipline is desirable.Experience in a similar role, preferably within Government.An understanding of Victorian Government payment regulations is desirable.Ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, reporting directives and procedures, to achieve optimal organisational outcomes.Demonstrated capability to deliver projects / programs to plan, including the management of risks, prioritisation of tasks, monitoring of workflow; and contributing to the evaluation of project/program effectiveness; use of initiative to identify, communicate, and address delivery risks and opportunities to improve organisational outcomes.To see the full position description: PD Click the "Apply" button to submit your application and cover letter addressing the key selection criteria.
