Accounts Officer - Temp To Perm - Immediate Start

Edward Mann is recruiting for an Accountant with a recognised Community Services/Support company based in Liverpool, but with travel to other offices in Lewisham. Onsite parking provided.
They are looking for a temporary Accounts Officer for an initial period of 6 months, but with a possibility for going permanent for exceptional candidates.
This is paying on an hourly basis up to circa $45p/h inclusive of Super.
Responsibilities: Assist the Finance Team with month-end processes.
Capture approved data to the appropriate system, including but not limited to supplier invoices and customer receipts and matching with purchase orders where relevant.
Monitor, check and verify invoices for compliance and accuracy
Approve invoices against scheduling & rostering of services
Ensure policies and procedures are complied with to ensure a high level of integrity.
Prepare the reconciliations of supplier statements
Prepare clients claim submissions on weekly/fortnightly basis.
Monitor and verify bank accounts of new suppliers or when suppliers have changed bank accounts.
Identify improvements to the accounts payable process.
Work with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve any queries or issues.
Assist colleagues in the Finance team, as required.
Candidate Requirements: Broad Accounting skillset across month-end, AP/AR
Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
Microsoft Office experience including Excel
Ability to work in both Liverpool and Lewisham locations
Team player and willing to help in multiple areas.
