Rheinmetall NIOA Munitions – Maryborough QLD
Rheinmetall NIOA Munitions Pty Ltd (RNM), a joint venture between Rheinmetall Waffe Munitions and NIOA Pty Ltd, has established a state-of-the-art forging and manufacturing facility in Maryborough QLD that produces artillery shell cases and other munitions-related products for supply to the defence industry.

What are we looking for?

The primary purpose of the Accounts Officer is to manage financial records, processes, and reporting, including accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, and supplier management, while ensuring compliance and supporting budget control.

Key Accountabilities
Process and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Raise and process purchase orders and invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payment to vendors and suppliers.
Regularly reconcile bank statements with the company's records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Generate and send invoices to clients, follow up on overdue payments, and maintain an organized record of receivables.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, stocktakes, reports, and budgets for management and external stakeholders.
Support the analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost-saving or revenue enhancement.
Proactively monitor and control company expenses ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Complete other finance staff duties in their absence, including payroll, as required by the Finance Manager.
Assist during financial audits and provide necessary documentation and information.
Maintain organized financial records and documents, ensuring they are easily accessible for audits and reference.
Set up new suppliers as required.
Monitor and report supplier performance as necessary.
Develop draft policies, procedures, and work instructions as directed by the Finance Manager.
Ongoing process definition, improvement, and documentation for the finance function.
Ensure the safety and care of yourself and others in accordance with the company values.
Comply with all legislation and all company processes and procedures.
Ensure personal conduct provides positive representation of RNM at all times.
Promote best practices and help to develop RNM to maximize efficiency through continuous improvement processes.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Business certificate III or IV preferred but not essential with experience in a similar role.
Knowledge and experience in accounting principles preferred.
Excellent knowledge and experience with MS Office software, particularly Excel, and accounting software (SAP).
Strong numeracy & literacy with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective time management with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and commercial acumen.
Problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Additional Requirements
Fit to work in a sedentary role in a munitions manufacturing environment.
