Unique opportunity for an Accounts Officer to join a Government organisation on a 6-month contract:
Based Brisbane Inner-suburbsAttractive hourly rateClose to public transport with 1 day WFHThis role is available for an immediate start.
About the role: Perform monthly reconciliation and processing of Corporate Card transactionsManage and maintain finance email inbox ensuring items are actioned in a timely mannerPerform receipting and recording of daily bankingAssist with processing and reviewing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoicesProvide assistance with relevant journal adjustments for financial and management reportingMaintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery outcomesUndertake provision of information to internal auditor on matters relevant to the positionAd-hoc duties as requiredAbout you: Strong focus on attention to detail, accuracy, time management skills and ability to establish prioritiesAbility to work efficiently both autonomously and as part of a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated customer service experienceSound knowledge of accounting practices and GST legislation relating to accounts payable, accounts receivable and account reconciliationsKnowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge of internal policies, procedures and processes, Government financial management requirements and corporate governance practicesAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
