The role: We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer/Bookkeeper who is passionate about maintaining an accurate financial system to support the smooth running of the firm. As Accounts Officer at our firm, you will report to the Operations Manager and be part of our collaborative and supportive Operations Team. You will work closely with management and the wider team to maintain our full-function accounts system, including invoicing, trust accounting, payroll and management accounting.

Salary and benefits: FTE $70,000-$85,000 plus superannuation per annum, pro-rated if part-timeFlexible hours: we are offering either part-time (minimum 30 hours over 4-5 days per week) or full-time (37.5 hours per week) and are open to discussion on how this might work for youHybrid working model with the opportunity to arrange 1-2 work from home days per week once training is completed Annual training budget to broaden and strengthen your skills through external training programs in addition to internal training sessionsA supportive work environment with a strong focus on work-life balance and employee wellbeing, including access to our Employee Assistance Program Key responsibilities: Enter and maintain financial data in our practice management software (Migration Manager) and our accounting software (Xero)Administer the payrollOversee firm payables and disbursementsInvoice clients within our largely fixed fee billing systemPreparing reports for management purposesAssist with the day-to-day and end of month Office and Trust accounts, including trust receipting and reconciliationsAssist with annual auditing requirementsProcessing contracts within our practice management and direct debit systemsFollow up on unpaid invoices from time to timeLiaise with our accountants, auditors and external debt collection agency as neededDeal in an effective, respectful and ethical manner at all times with clientsLiaise with external suppliers or other parties as requiredAssist Directors to ensure the firm's financial and trust obligations are maintainedOther duties from time to time Qualifications and experience: Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications and experience:
