Account & Relationship Management (Sales)Job Title: Accounts Manager (Plumbing Industry)Location: Abbotsford, MelbourneEmployment Type: Full-TimeRemuneration: $75-90kCompany: Vic City PlumbingAbout Us:We are a growing plumbing business with 16 employees, providing high-quality maintenance plumbing services across Melbourne. We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to manage our accounts department and ensure smooth financial operations.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and send customer invoices based on plumber job notes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.Manage the accounts payable function, including processing and paying contractor invoices.Handle payroll for all employees, including calculating plumber and management bonuses.Complete end-of-month close-off procedures, including reconciliation and financial reporting.Provide financial reporting and insights to the Director.Work on accounting systems such as Xero and SimPro, ensuring proper documentation and system use.Manage fleet vehicle insurance and registration.Create and improve on procedures within the accounts role.Requirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within a trade business.Strong knowledge of Xero and SimPro (or similar software).Ability to independently assess work completed by tradespeople and generate accurate invoices.Experience in managing payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting.Strong communication and organisational skills.High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.Preferred Qualifications:Accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, CA) or relevant certifications.Experience in the plumbing or trade industry.What we offer:A tightly knit, energetic team who are always willing to help each other.A balance of office / work from home once established in the role.Central office location in Abbotsford.Ongoing training and reviews.A growing business allows career progression.The ability to bring new ideas and procedures to the company.
