About the RoleALS Environmental is poised for growth and requires a motivated and collaborative Accounts Manager/Business Development Officer to play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in the environmental market.
You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, establishing and nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the business to achieve our targets.
Based in Springvale, you will need to be able to work autonomously and be very driven.
The day to dayThe successful applicants will undertake a range of duties including the following:
Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies including target markets, corporate relationships, and pricing.Identify new business leads in the Mining and Consultancy sectors.Build and maintain strong client relationships to establish ALS as the laboratory testing partner of choice within Australia.Develop new and foster existing client relationships and business opportunities in traditional and emerging markets.Customer Services duties include the preparation of quotations and answering client queries.Assisting the Client Services Manager in the preparation of tenders, technical bulletins and marketing literature.Write a quarterly Mining newsletter suitable for a range of mining clients.Ensure the delivery of a positive experience to ALS's client base.The essentialsThe successful applicant will possess the following skills and abilities:
Demonstrated business development experience (minimum 2 years)Experienced in marketing, sales and identification of new business opportunities.Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and business growth.Strong communications, negotiation, and influencing skills.Business development experience in the Environmental and Mining fields.Working at ALSOur people drive our success at ALS.
