Our exceptional Finance team at Thynne + Macartney is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Legal Accounts Clerk to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
Working within a fun and collegiate team, you will report to the Financial Controller and help manage the firm's trust, receivable and billing requirements as well as assist with other accounting functions when required.
This opportunity can also be offered on a part-time basis (3-4 days per week) to the right candidate.
Duties & responsibilities EFT receipting and firm bankingSupport Financial Controller to handle firm's trust account audit including liaising with the external auditorAttend to billing requirements within the firm including EOM processes for trust and general accountsManagement of client investment moniesLexon quality assurance file reviewsAssist with other accounting functions as directed by the Financial ControllerCollaborate and contribute to the firm's Practice Management Systems (PMS) project with various team membersSkills & Experience Previous experience (a minimum of 3 years) in accounts clerks / billing position.Experience using Open Practice or other practice management system and working in a law firm environment is highly regarded.Previous knowledge in reconciliation procedures.Understanding of trust accounting.Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy.Well-developed interpersonal, communication and consultation skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to deal with competing deadlines accurately and efficiently.Capacity to be self-managed and be self-motivated.Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.Benefits & Culture In return for your strong work performance, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary package, excellent training and mentoring.
