Accounts Assistant

Scolmore have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to provide support to the Accounts department by performing finance and administration tasks, including processing and recording transactions.Main DutiesReconcile bank accounts including foreign currencyPost stock invoicesPost non-stock invoices including selecting appropriate nominal codesAnalysing credit card statements and posting of the sameAnalysing expenses and posting of the samePosting sales ledger cashReviewing the post – distributing around the departmentsDistributing purchase invoices to the appropriate teams & keeping a log of invoices awaiting approvalFiling and scanning of all documentsAssisting with controls & month-end procedures.Skills and ExperienceStrong communication skills - ability to liaise with people at all levels within the businessMust be highly organized and methodical in your approachAttention to detail and proactive approachAbility to prioritise your workWork well both autonomously and as part of a teamExcellent IT systems knowledge and experience - MS Office suites (intermediate level in Excel) with strong skills in Sage and strong analytical skills & attention to detail.BenefitsOption to purchase up to 5 extra days annual leaveHealth Cashback PlanPension SchemeLife AssuranceFree ParkingSite Location: Scolmore House, Tamworth, B79 7UL
