This is your opportunity to give back to your local community and work within a close-knit team of like-minded creative thinkers.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain the company payroll system with accurate data entry and payment processing.Assist with statutory returns, including monthly payroll tax and superannuation payments.Maintain and update employee payroll records and general administration.Handle transactions and reconciliation in Xero.Generate reports as required.Maintain strict confidentiality, privacy, and knowledge of Award interpretation.Provide timely, accurate payroll advice and support to employees and managers with inquiries.QualificationsAt least 2 years previous experience as a payroll officer.Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping or Accounting.Knowledge of legislation related to PAYG tax, superannuation, and Awards.Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Xero (or similar).Ability to work with strict confidentiality and privacy requirements.Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.Preferred SkillsAn understanding of awards and overtime/shift allowances.Knowledge of key payroll principles and processes as well as an understanding of Xero is highly regarded.Experience within the health and community services setting.
