Accounts And Payroll Officer

POSITION DESCRIPTION
An experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer is to keep up to date the account records and oversee smooth transactions with clients. The successful candidate will have great communication skills and a strong quantitative background, along with a proven track record of successfully handling accounts. You should be a team player, enjoy working with a variety of clients, and have knowledge of basic accounting functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and process client invoices.
Reconcile Debtor accounts.
Full debtor collection responsibility, following up outstanding payments to ensure timely collection.
Handling arrears and managing disputes and queries through to effective resolution with our clients.
Manage online banking and bank reconciliation.
Process end of month adjustment as requested.
New credit account risk assessments when requested by management.
Ensure all data entry and record keeping is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Processing fortnightly and monthly payroll.
Employee/Contractor Care – including providing support to employees and contractors with inductions and queries.
Other office duties as requested.

Actioning tasks within set timeframe.
Accuracy in written communication both internal and external.
Seeking learning opportunities and new efficiencies in their work area.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Mandatory Qualification / Experience

Astute payroll and XERO experience preferred.
Basic IT skills in MS Office software.
Must be meticulous in reconciling and other accounting activities.
Proven ability to multi-task, work to strict deadlines and have well-developed organisational skills.
Accounting degree (preferred) or demonstrated experience in accounting functions.
Ability to analyse and troubleshoot problems with appropriate attention to detail.
Have a positive, friendly & enthusiastic manner with customers.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, with documentation and processes.
Flexible attitude with ability to take ownership and accountability.
Proven capability to work independently, with ability to prioritise to achieve deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56,762.86 – $70,000.00 per year
