About the role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Accounting Officer to join the Santos team. Based at our Global Headquarters in Adelaide, this position reports to the Team Leader - JV Services and is responsible for delivering quality and efficient transactional accounting and reporting services to our key stakeholders throughout the Business. Key responsibilities: Receipt funds in to the General Ledger Managing the Joint Venture cash position through the preparation of timely cash settlements Facilitate the settlement and confirmation of Treasury transactions Assembling audit data as required Preparing and posting actual and accrual journals Key stakeholders of this role are Financial Services, Group Finance, Group Taxation, Treasury, Group Insurance, and Commercial Preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations Assist with bank account maintenance Participate in process improvement projects across Finance Additional activities as required by the Team Leader - JV Services and Financial Controller About you Preferably holding an Accounting or Business Diploma, the ideal candidate will possess previous experience in a transactional processing role, along with a working knowledge of MS Office suite of tools and experience in SAP S4/Hana. This role will suit a candidate who enjoys transactional work, processing data in large volumes, and who also possesses a strong attention to detail, is well organised and who is inquisitive in nature with a desire to learn.
