About the role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Accounting Officer to join the Santos team. Based at our Global Headquarters in Adelaide, this position reports to the Team Leader - JV Services and is responsible for delivering quality and efficient transactional accounting and reporting services to our key stakeholders throughout the Business.
Key responsibilities: Receipt funds in to the General LedgerManaging the Joint Venture cash position through the preparation of timely cash settlementsFacilitate the settlement and confirmation of Treasury transactionsAssembling audit data as requiredPreparing and posting actual and accrual journalsKey stakeholders of this role are Financial Services, Group Finance, Group Taxation, Treasury, Group Insurance, and CommercialPreparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliationsAssist with bank account maintenanceParticipate in process improvement projects across FinanceAdditional activities as required by the Team Leader - JV Services and Financial Controller About you Preferably holding an Accounting or Business Diploma, the ideal candidate will possess previous experience in a transactional processing role, along with a working knowledge of MS Office suite of tools and experience in SAP S4/Hana.
This role will suit a candidate who enjoys transactional work, processing data in large volumes, and who also possesses a strong attention to detail, is well organised and who is inquisitive in nature with a desire to learn.
