About the role
The Shire of Ravensthorpe has an opportunity available for a highly motivated, team-focused, energetic and passionate person with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our Corporate Services Team.
This is a fixed-term (12 month) Parental Leave cover position requiring work from Monday to Friday, within standard hours from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, totalling 38 hours per week. The role will be based across both the Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun offices. A handover will be provided to the successful candidate by the current Accounting Manager.
As the successful candidate, you will provide a wide range of accounting support services, including financial management systems and asset accounting. You will also oversee finance, Rates, and customer service functions, managing a team of four. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the HR/Payroll Manager, who oversees the remaining Corporate Services team. Your primary focus will be on financial accounting, management accounting, systems accounting, asset accounting, and providing administrative support.
We are ideally looking for someone with formal accounting qualifications or who is currently studying towards obtaining them. This role offers a great opportunity for career development for those looking to advance their career in accounting.

A total salary package up to $153,810 will be offered dependent on qualifications, skills and experience as per the Ravensthorpe Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2023. The total salary package is inclusive of: cash component, 11.5 % superannuation plus Council matching up to 5%, Ravensthorpe location allowance, 17.5% leave loading on 5 weeks annual leave, uniform allowance, vehicle allowance, and accommodation provisions if required by the successful applicant.
