OneFortyOne is a trans-Tasman business that owns and manages softwood plantation forests and operates sawmills in Australia and New Zealand. We produce and distribute timber and forest products across Australia, New Zealand and internationally.
We're looking for an experienced and proactive financial Accounting Manager to join our group finance and planning team.
The Role :
Reporting to the General Manager Finance Australia and as a key leader of the Finance Australia team the incumbent is responsible for the monitoring and management of the GT Forests and Wood Products Accounting Team to optimise business profit including managing Direct & Indirect Tax, Group Treasury, Relevant Policies & Workflows, Compliance and Auditing activities.
You will also: promote a safe and positive workplace culture in line with OneFortyOne's values and purpose. be responsible for financial governance, compliance and regulatory reporting. lead the review of financial data, systems and processes. assist with researching, developing and implementing environmental strategies, and delivering activities/programs. identify, recommend, implement and lead continuous improvement. communicate and collaborate with stakeholders and appropriate employees. Ideally you: have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in a senior accounting role. have experience in core technical accounting roles and can demonstrate in-depth knowledge of accounting standards. hold post graduate qualifications, CA or CPA Qualification or willingness to complete. have commercial business acumen, with the ability to work collaboratively across functions. have a demonstrated ability to provide expert advice and to explain complex financial information in a clear way. have experience leading and managing a team. can self-manage in an environment where multiple priorities compete for your time. are a competent user of financial enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) systems including the ability to quickly learn new ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Access, SQL, Oracle) Interested?
