What's the role about? Reporting to the Financial Controller ANZ, the Accounting Manager, ANZ is primarily responsible for providing full administration support on GL Accounting, Reporting & Analytics producing accurate & timely results, information and documentation for the mobile side of business.
The Accounting Manager, ANZ will be leading a remote team of financial accountants and oversee the below key responsibilities:
Management of month/quarter end reporting for the Australian entities to Head Office and all stakeholders across the business. Managing and reviewing the preparation of financial statements, audit requirements, statistical returns and regulatory returns with ASIC for the regulated entities by the GL reporting team and address the comments from Financial Controller for discussions with the key stakeholders. Leading and owning all audits end to end along and support ANZ Controller in timely filings. Ensuring all Interco agreements and accounting set up as per process, meeting all Sox requirements and correct consolidation results eliminating Interco transactions. Ensure financial returns are consistent with the appropriate accounting standards and regulatory and auditing requirements including ensuring compliance with the accounting standards, policies and procedures within Local Finance and Global through regular monitoring and review and maintain strong control over the GL. Working alongside the US Accounting team on ensuring reporting is in line with the applicable accounting standard (Local GAAP or US GAAP). Constructively challenge drivers for change and take ownership of change activity ensuring implementation is timely, to quality within budget and risks are mitigated. Ensure positive engagement with stakeholders internally/externally and operate as a key team player. Does this sound like you? Qualified Accountant – CPA/CA with 5-8 years of post-qualification. Knowledge of retail, mobile business and warehouse operations. Demonstrable financial accounting knowledge and skills. Strong people management skills and a desire to develop people. Ability to manage numerous deadlines and prioritize workload to achieve these deadlines. Effective liaison with internal and external audit. Experience in leveraging cross-functional teams to deliver results. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience of leading a 3–4 team members within a remote environment preferred but not essential.
