The Role Working from our Campbell St Campus, the Accounting Lead will support TasTAFE's pursuit of excellence in financial reporting and analysis.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance and Procurement, this position is key in financial reporting & planning, and statutory compliance.
This permanent role offers an experienced financial specialist the rare opportunity to help shape TasTAFE's financial operations, resulting in a steady, efficient and pro-active financial environment.
On any given day, your duties will include: Prepare financial reports for the TasTAFE Board, Senior Executive, and Divisions.Lead the delivery of TasTAFE's annual audited financial statements.Help support business planning, budget development, and performance analysis.Enhancing finance systems and processes for continuous improvement.Preparation of financial information, reports and returns for external organisations.What you will bring Financial or business qualifications, and CPA Australia or CAANZ membership (or equivalent).Expertise in financial management, including accrual accounting.Proficiency in computerised financial systems, and developing and customising reports.Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.A self-motivated and detail-oriented approach, with the capability to lead and complete projects on time.A current Working with Vulnerable People registration is required, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
