About the role:
The Accounting Intern will be responsible for preparing financial reports, completing tax forms, and performing account reconciliations.
The intern will work as part of the accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Assist in Financial Data Entry: Accurately input and organize financial data into relevant accounting software systems, including MYOB and Xero.
Bookkeeping Support: Aid in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients using various accounting software platforms.
Reconciliation Tasks: Assist in bank statement reconciliations and other financial reconciliations within MYOB and Xero as required.
Assist in Financial Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports for clients, utilizing accounting software functionalities.
Audit Support: Participate in audit procedures, leveraging MYOB and Xero functionalities, and provide assistance to the audit team as needed.
Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients to gather necessary information and address inquiries, leveraging MYOB and Xero communication tools when applicable.
Ad Hoc Projects: Support various ad hoc projects as assigned by senior team members, utilizing accounting software features for efficient project management.

Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Accounting, Finance, or related field).
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
Familiarity with accounting software such as MYOB and Xero.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
