As the Accounting Coordinator with this non-profit, you will join an outstanding team of talented professionals and work extensively in the Accounts Payable/Receivable department. This is a great position for a person who loves accounting and numbers and has at least one year of experience. Because this is a dynamic role, the ideal candidate has a background overseeing the accounts payable, accounts receivable, preparing monthly financial reports, assisting with tax and financial audits and various administrative projects. In this role, you will be exposed to all of the accounting and finance responsibilities. A detail oriented, deadline-driven individual who is interested in working in a non-profit setting will do exceptionally well in this role.
About the Job: Provide accounts payable assistance by reviewing outstanding checks, collecting 1099 forms, updating W-9's, and fielding vendor inquiries regarding payments.Ensure proper follow-up with vendors to guarantee a timely and smooth payment process; answer general incoming questions.Prepare monthly reports detailing accurate accounts and financial records for company.Review and electronically file forms with different software applications, including expense reports.Keep up-to-date client portfolios while monitoring billing schedules.Receive, research, and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status; communicate the resolution of discrepancies to the appropriate party.Accurately input invoices through internal and external billing systems.Assist clients with accounting questions, set-up, billing, credit and general collection actions using strong customer service and professionalism.Regularly audit and account for revenue reporting metrics to ensure proper action is taken on reconciliation, credit/debit across accounts, etc.About the Culture: Mission-driven non-profit with an emphasis on their strong community.About You: Degreed.
