Located at Woodman Point, Cockburn Power Boats Club (CPBC) is a not-for-profit association with approximately 1200 members.
Established in 1961 with a proud history, the Club provides all the facilities and conveniences Members require to make their boating experience a safe and enjoyable one.
CPBC boasts 5 floating launching and retrieval ramps, 8 boat wash down bays, 50 water pens, hardstand storage, fish cleaning station, secure parking, and function facilities overlooking the stunning Cockburn Sound for its Members.
The core objective of the Club is to promote and encourage the use of recreational watercraft powered by sail or engine.
THE ROLEReporting directly to the General Manager, the Accountant/Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting the financial management and decision-making processes, as well as managing and maintaining IT systems for the Club.
The role encompasses a broad range of financial and systems administration responsibilities including but not limited to:
Managing and maintaining accurate financial records, including balance sheets, ledger accounts, and transactions.Preparing financial statements with detailed analysis and insights.Overseeing and maintaining IT systems, ensuring a high level of security and efficiency.Collaborating with the General Manager to enhance system functionality and resolve issues promptly.Facilitating periodic audits and implementing corrective actions.YOUTo be successful in this role you will have proven experience in a similar position ideally within a small organisation and possess a tertiary qualification in Commerce/Business discipline (Accounting, Finance or similar).
Systems administration experience, specifically automation of financial systems, including implementation of IT solutions would be advantageous.
You will possess strong business and financial acumen and have a strong attention to detail.
Additionally, you require strong analytical and communication skills and must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Financial software (Triumph/Reckon/NorthStar preferably).
