MCS Civil is seeking a talented Accountant to join our team in our Rutherford, NSW office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounting and budgeting functions, ensuring financial records are accurate and up-to-date.What you'll be doingPrepare and analyse financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.Manage the company's accounts payable and receivable processes.Assist with the preparation of the company's annual budget and monitor budget performance.Provide financial advice and support to management on strategic decisions.Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's accounting and financial processes.The ideal applicant, we are looking to hear from:Degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or CA qualification.Full working rights in Australia.Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar management accounting or financial control role, preferably within the construction industry.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient in using Xero accounting software, with strong/advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft products.Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.What we offerOpportunities for professional development and career advancement.A supportive and collaborative team environment.If you're passionate about accounting and looking to join a dynamic company, with exciting projects on our books for the future, we'd love to hear from you.Expression of interest can be emailed in the strictest of confidence to ******.
