Your new role
Based at our Head Office in North Melbourne, this exciting opportunity awaits you!
Reporting directly to the Financial Accountant Aged Care, you'll be at the forefront of driving excellence in our financial operations.
Encompassing a range of finance functions, your role is not just about numbers – it's about shaping the future through process improvement.
You will be working alongside a dedicated team to refine and optimise financial workflows.
Your responsibilities and duties will include:
Assist with monthly accounts process including but not limited to balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis and processing journals.
Assist with regular external reporting.
Assist with the implementation of new programs and projects including setting up processes, reconciliations and reporting.
Participate in the continuous improvement cycle, by proactively identifying and raising improvements through Wintringham's quality systems.
Understanding responsibilities in relation to the role as defined in the relevant policies and procedures.
Other ad-hoc projects and duties as directed by the Financial Accountant, Aged Care.
We are looking for candidates with the following:
Appropriate tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution or university.
A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia or CPA Australia or studying towards these or equivalent further study.
Technical skills and experience in financial or management accounting.
Investigative and problem-solving skills with capability to interpret and analyse financial information including the ability to make some adaptation to techniques or processes that affect the way work is organized.
Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks.
Advanced Excel skills, with a high degree of proficiency utilising other Microsoft Office applications.
Minimum 3 years' experience working within a finance team.
