Accountant - Mining (Contract)

The Raisebore Group of Companies is a privately owned company that has operated for over 25 years, providing specialised services to the mining industry across raiseboring, diamond drilling, and underground mining throughout Australia. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY  We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis to assist with providing accounting support across our Group of Mining Companies. Some of the responsibilities will include but not be limited to;  Assist with accounts payable/receivable functions;  Assist the Operations teams as required to prepare and invoice end-of-month claims;  Ensure the various monthly project claims across the Group are processed within a timely manner and payments are managed;  Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial reports;  Work closely with our external accountants on statutory reporting;  Be willing and able to perform a wide variety of accounting tasks, including any required data entry projects in MYOB to ensure financial records are maintained.  This is a great opportunity if you are looking for a challenge!  An immediate start is available and the contract term of 6-12 months can be negotiated based on the right candidate and the needs of our business over time.  ABOUT YOU Demonstrated experience in the mining/construction industry will be an advantage (but not essential); Highly experienced with all Microsoft Suite applications, especially Excel; Ability to work autonomously with the initiative to get in and get it done;  Experience with MYOB is an advantage, but the right candidate with have the drive to familiarise themself with any system.  This position will be based in our Somerton Park Head Office in South Australia.  #J-18808-Ljbffr
