Accountant/Junior Management Accountant

THE COMPANY
Our client is an established national service provider that provides services to a diverse client base across Australia. They are a recognised industry leader and in a great position to increase their footprint and market share .
You will report to a hands-on financial controller and work alongside a tenured supportive finance team. You will be a key member of the finance team and a business partner to senior business unit managers and stakeholders.
There will be the occasional trip to site to meet your business partners and operation teams. 
 
THE ROLE
• Preparation and analysis of monthly management reports, including balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow
• Maintenance of internal controls, including reconciliations and general ledger entries
• Contribute to improving the company's financial reporting systems and processes
• Liaise with operations managers regarding budgets and variances
• Analysis and reconciliation of customer and supplier accounts
• Management of quarterly reports, including analysis
• Review and analysis of departmental KPIs
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Maintenance of fixed asset register
• Ad hoc projects and analysis as required
 
REQUIREMENTS
• Ideally, you will be newly qualified or working towards CA/CPA
• Previous experience working for a medium-sized business is essential
• Enjoy building relationships with senior business partners and operations teams
• Proven time management skills, coupled with the ability to work to strict deadlines
• Positive can-do attitude
