The Role
We currently have an opportunity to join our Investment Accounting and Unit Pricing team as an Accountant in a permanent position.
This opportunity is open to work from our Melbourne or North Sydney office in conjunction with our hybrid work from home options.
As an Accountant, you will play a critical part in building unit pricing capabilities as part of a dedicated team responsible for investment accounting, portfolio monitoring and unit pricing management.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensure correct unit pricing outcomes are achieved on a daily basis for respective portfoliosApply investment, product, system and financial markets knowledge to support investment accounting at MLCLAssist in responding to queries and requests from External Reporting, Tax Reporting and other MLCL teams.Documentation of current and newly established processesSupporting the wider finance team and sometimes leading fund accounting and unit pricing investigations, calculations and analysis.Carrying out all assigned duties in a professional and ethical manner by ensuring compliance with external legislation and internal operating policies and procedures relevant to the position.
You may also be asked to review/ guide work undertaken by other team members.Proactively managing risk; meeting all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to Process and Procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified (risk accountability forms part of all roles, as everyone is responsible for managing risk and compliance).
