Job DescriptionAbout the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for an Investment Accountant to join our Finance Investments team on a 12-month contract.
In this hands-on, fast-paced role, you will support QIC's investment capability from a back-office capacity, handling various day-to-day operational elements across QIC's investment portfolio, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all reporting deliverables.Key responsibilities: Record and process investment-related transactions and valuations in the eFrontInvest system.Ensure compliance with investment mandate obligations and internal controls.Monitor and reconcile cash flow requirements and balances.Prepare month-end workpapers and unit pricing.Reconcile key balances and investment data.Assist with reporting obligations and year-end financial reporting and audits.Support and collaborate with senior team members on operational tasks and reporting activities.About youYou will be someone who actively engages with the business, with a passion for bringing numbers to life.
Ideally, you will have a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to adapt and understand activities at the enterprise and process level, bringing alignment to best practice and will likely meet the following criteria:Degree in Accounting/Finance, Business, Commerce, or equivalent.Completing or completed CA or CPA qualification.Minimum 3 years experience as an Accountant.High standard of accuracy and attention to detail.Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.While it would be viewed favourably, investment industry experience is not a prerequisite to succeed in this role.
