An Accountant is currently required in a full-time capacity for our Client in Tamworth who are a national specialist equipment provider, supplying to the Forestry, Construction, Utilities and Rail Industries. Permanent full-time opportunity Competitive annual salary package National Company As the Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to provide accounting information, support and guidance to the business, in line with operational requirements, Accounting Standards and legislative requirements. About the role: Prepare and process nominated month end journals and reconciliations Actively work with Business Unit Managers on the management of their financial results and forecasts Timely review of Business Unit variances to budget Working with the Financial Controller, maintain and report daily on cash flow and maintain a robust forecast of incoming and outgoing cash requirements Resolution of queries relating to accounting processes as directed Assistance with monthly management and board pack reporting Assistance with budget and forecast preparation Collation of yearly FBT data Review of Payroll Tax and BAS Submission data Assistance with Machine Stock Forward Planning and International Freight Management Ad Hoc Analysis and Reporting as required Ability to cover activities/tasks of other roles in the finance and administration team during periods of leave About you: Accounting/Commerce Degree Minimum 3 years prior experience in an Accounting Role Excellent communication skills and experience working with non-financial managers and staff to understand and communicate financial information and requirements Strong Commercial Acumen Strong working knowledge of excel (pivot tables, formulas etc) Demonstrated experience working with fully integrated finance/ERP systems If a new career is on the cards for you in 2024, apply now and one of our consultants will be in touch for a confidential discussion.
