The Management Company is a privately owned business, with the exclusive Australian rights to Molteni & C, a high-end luxury Italian furniture brand. The business has 20 years of experience in representing high-end luxury brands, notably Hub Furniture Lighting Living, best known for its inspiring contribution to the Australian design and interiors landscape. This new structure will see the expansion into new areas of retail, always with aspirational and inspiring design brands, under the creative direction of Founder & Director, Jacqueline Foti-Lowe. For the right candidate, this represents an opportunity to be part of something new and fresh in the design retail space, opening the first Molteni & C Australian Flagship Store.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to their work, accompanied by a willingness to be proactive. The candidate will also be CA or CPA qualified and have the following:
At least 4 years total industry work experience including 1 year in a similar role or 4 years' experience within a professional services firm in audit or business services.Experience and knowledge of working with inventory (required). Candidates who do not have such experience are still encouraged to apply, but successful candidates must demonstrate practical retail and inventory accounting knowledge, including KPIs and drivers of profitability.Proactive.Knowledge of Wiise.The right to work in Australia on a full-time permanent basis.Tasks & Responsibilities
A full-time role working in Richmond and initially in Hawthorn. Working as part of a small team, you will take full ownership of the following:
Managing the general ledger from transaction phase through to financial reporting, including the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions.Preparing monthly management reporting, including completing month-end accounting procedures.Managing and executing all compliance programs including Income Tax, FBT, GST, Payroll Tax, ASIC, Superannuation, and Workers Compensation.Assisting the Finance & Operations Manager with other key business functions including inventory management, pricing, foreign exchange activities, and cash flow forecasting.Please click on the apply button to submit your application.
