More About the Role at Whitecliffe Imports - Assist the Senior Accountant in formulating the annual budget and forecasts, and recommend improvements to accounting policies - Create quarterly Business Activity Statements and liaise with external tax agents for lodgement - Prepare year-end tax returns for the company - Maintain the internal accounting system, and monitor and ensure the accuracy of bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and payroll preparation by the accounting clerks - Examine operating costs and company income, assisting the Senior Accountant in evaluating cash flow for the company and its related entities - Assign tasks to accounting clerks within the finance team - Oversee and monitor the daily record-keeping activities of bookkeeper and accounting clerk to ensure compliance with tax laws and ATO requirements - Prepare Financial Statements, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement at year-end, and submit them to the Senior Accountant for review - Collect, organize, analyse, and present data to the Senior Accountant to support decision-making aimed at reducing costs, increasing productivity, and boosting profitability - Provide Recommendations for Enhancements to the Accounting System - Perform other ad-hoc accounting tasks as required
