About the roleWe are a growing boutique finance and accounting consulting firm and we are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Sydney, NSW. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality financial accounting, bookkeeping and reporting services to our diverse client base. This is a part-time opportunity, offering flexibility and a great work-life balance. This is a 0.6 FTE opportunity and we require the candidate to work on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays. We are in the process of moving to our new office in Barangaroo.
What you'll be doing (list is not exhaustive) Preparing and reviewing accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsPerforming detailed financial analysis and providing insightful recommendations to clientsEnsuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policiesAssisting in the implementation of financial systems and processes to improve efficiencyMaintaining meticulous records and documentation to support financial reportingContributing to the continuous improvement of accounting practices and proceduresEnd to end AP processesEnd to end AR processesDaily bank and credit card reconciliationsEnd to end payroll processesReconciliationsSuper and BAS reconciliation and processingWhat we're looking for Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related fieldFull or associate member of CPA Australia or equivalent5+ years of experience in payroll, bookkeeping and accounting roleProficiency in the use of XERO, Excel and data analysis toolsStrong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with relevant accounting standards and regulationsWhat we offerAt Fortune Advisory Services, we value our employees and strive to create a supportive and fulfilling work environment.
