As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with various legal departments and the management team to provide financial insights and support business decisions.What We Offer:Competitive salary package and benefitsOpportunities for professional development and career progressionA supportive and collaborative team environmentTask & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting standards.Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost reduction.Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance.Prepare budgets and forecasts and assist in the development of financial plans.Support internal and external audits as required.Provide advice on cost controls, revenue enhancement, and other financial performance improvements.Qualification & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation laws, and financial regulations.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar).Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience in financial analysis.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.A CPA or CA qualification (or progress towards obtaining one) is highly desirable, though not mandatory.Experience in legal accounting is preferred.About CompanyGerard Malouf and Partners is Australia's leading personal injury law firm with a commitment to delivering top-notch legal and financial solutions to our clients.
