We at Chandler Macleod are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our South Australian client's team on a 3-month contract. In this role, you will take ownership of a variety of accounting responsibilities, from managing financial records and payroll to ensuring compliance with Australian tax regulations. This is an excellent opportunity with the possibility of extension.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable and Receivable (AR/AP): Recording, managing, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.Bank Reconciliations: Ensuring accuracy between bank statements and accounts.Financial Records: Maintaining accurate financial ledgers and documentation.Payroll Management: Processing wages, calculating superannuation, payroll tax, and other deductions, ensuring compliance with employment laws and tax regulations.Taxation and Compliance: Preparing and lodging BAS and IAS, assisting with annual tax returns, and ensuring ATO compliance.Financial Reporting: Preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and management reports.Budgeting and Forecasting: Creating and monitoring budgets, conducting financial forecasting, and providing insights to support decision-making.End-of-Month/Year-End Processes: Managing accruals, reconciling accounts, preparing for audits, and supporting external auditors.Required Skills/Experience:Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting (e.g., Bachelor's or Master's).Experience: Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, including exposure to payroll and tax compliance.Technical Skills: Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.If this sounds like you, hit "Apply" now or alternatively, please send your CVs to ****** note, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.At Chandler Macleod, we are committed to fostering a diverse workforce where everyone is welcome.
