This role involves analyzing operating costs and income to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
The accountant will prepare and maintain financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accurate general ledger transactions.BenefitsWe are offering a great work environment, an annual salary of $75,000 per annum and an opportunity to grow with the business, to the right candidates.Tasks & Responsibilities Assist the management team in formulating budgetary plans and oversee the organization's budget processes.Analyze operating costs, income, and expenditure patterns to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.Prepare financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger.Coordinate with partners to gather necessary financial information for joint venture reporting.Prepare joint venture accounts, including billing and analysis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreements.Assist auditors by providing requested financial data and documentation.Review and analyze equity models to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Maintain fair value calculations for equity instruments.Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to accounting processes and procedures to enhance business performance.Handle special assignments as required to support the organization's objectives.Qualifications & Experience A relevant degree and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience.Demonstrated problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.High degree of professionalism and integrity.Ability to work autonomously as well as under supervision.High attention to detail.About the CompanyWe are one of Australia's leading transport companies trading as Budget Car & Truck Rental (NSW) and are currently seeking an Accountant at our Singleton branch to join our expanding team.
