This role is integral to the effective management of financial operations, reporting, and team leadership.Salary:$112,347 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with qualifications and experience.Key Responsibilities:Supervise the Finance and Accounting team, including Payroll, Financial Records, and Administrative Operations.Act as the decision-maker in the absence of senior management.Monitor and ensure data accuracy in financial systems and software.Prepare and reconcile payments, receipts, and bank accounts.Generate accurate monthly management reports and assist in budget preparation and monitoring.Oversee payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate processing.Develop and monitor purchasing and financial control processes.Provide supervision, mentoring, and performance evaluations for team members.Conduct weekly cash flow forecasting and manage accounts receivable.Ensure compliance with relevant workplace health, safety, and equity standards.Key Selection Criteria:Essential:Proven experience in a management accountant or similar role.Practical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and commercial accounting practices.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and foster a positive workplace culture.High-level analytical and problem-solving skills in financial management.Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.Integrity, discretion, and tact in handling confidential matters.Desirable:Formal qualifications in Accounting will be highly regarded.Other Requirements:Ability to work effectively in a secure and highly regulated environment.Valid and current full Australian driver's license.Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary security clearances.Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when required.How to ApplyAll applications MUST be received via the GBS Recruitment website (www.gbsrecruitment.com.au),Job #917217 and include a cover letter outlining your experience, by COB 19th January 2025.Visa holders will also be required to provide evidence of their Rights to Work in Australia to be considered for these positions.
