We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic graduate accountant to join our busy and growing team.
The role will be full-time and you will be involved in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders, and self-managed superannuation funds.
A large portion of this role will also involve performing bookkeeping functions in Xero, and preparing the BAS and IAS for many of our clients.
This role will give you exposure to a broad client base and the opportunity to receive mentoring and support in your career development from our partners and more senior accountants.
Your role includes but is not limited to the following:

Preparation of financial statements and taxation returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
Bookkeeping, preparation of BAS, IAS and FBT returns
Exposure to leading tax planning strategies and client groups with multiple entities
Assist in transitioning and maximising clients use of cloud accounting software solutions and add on apps
Liaise directly with clients, Senior client managers, Partners, the ATO and other regulatory bodies
Assist with maintaining and developing client relationships

To be successful in this position, you should have:

Graduated with at least 1 or 2 years experience in an accounting practice
Commenced or looking to commence CA/CPA studies
Experience using small/medium business accounting software (ie.
Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
Self-motivated with a desire to develop a high level of professional skills
IT skills suitable for a dynamic business environment
Very good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and autonomously
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent work ethic and attitude to deliver quality service

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate
Pay: $74,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
