Summary: Reporting directly to the CEO, the Accountant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment of PlanCare's operations.
The successful candidate will lead the finance team, contributing to the organization's sustainable growth through effective financial management and transparent communication of financial strategies.Responsibilities:Conduct thorough financial investigations on Services Australia claims and funding to ensure accuracy and compliance.Lead the preparation of detailed monthly and quarterly financial reports, presenting findings to the board for strategic decision-making.Head month-end processes to streamline financial procedures and ensure timely reporting.Lead and guide the accounting and finance team to enhance efficiency and productivity in day-to-day operations.Oversee Services Australia claim submissions and reconciliations to guarantee optimal utilization of available funding.Manage inter-entity transactions to maintain financial clarity and coherence across the organization.Develop and implement effective accounting strategies aligning with business goals, focusing on sustainable growth.Spearhead the budgeting and forecasting processes to provide a comprehensive financial outlook for the organization.Actively participate in meetings with prospective investors to communicate financial strategies and facilitate capital raise initiatives.Collaborate with clients and internal executives to simplify financial jargon, ensuring clear understanding of funding options for services.Establish, maintain, and enhance internal control systems, playing a pivotal role in safeguarding financial processes and assets of the business.Prepare ad hoc reports as per the needs of the CEO, board, and prospective investors.Relevant Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field with 5 years of experience.Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) accreditation.Proven experience in financial management, reporting, and strategic planning.Strong leadership and team management skills.Understanding of NDIS and Aged Care funding processes is advantageous.We're looking for someone who:Is reliable and punctual.Must be passionate about healthcare and older adult healthcare.Creative mindset with a strong ability to think strategically.Finance experience in the healthcare industry is ideal.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work efficiently at a fast pace.A can-do attitude and approachable nature.Has a positive can-do attitude and isn't afraid to share ideas and feedback to help us grow.Is a fast learner and can learn independently.Enjoys working in a team environment and having a laugh at work.Sound like a role you're interested in?
