Reporting to the Finance and Treasury Reporting Manager, the primary purpose of the Accountant position is to perform all accounting tasks for the Singapore entities, support the wider finance department with the completion of Bank reconciliations for all PHI APAC entities' bank accounts, and be responsible for the preparation of the daily cashflow for PHI International and assist with Treasury management.
The role will also support and be back up to the Australian Accountant and New Zealand Accountant, assist the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager with the preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecasts, and prepare/assist with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts of the APAC legal entities.
Responsibilities of the role include: Preparation of bank reconciliations in the RAMCO system daily for all the bank accounts for PHI APACPreparation of the daily cashflow report for Head OfficeAssist with Treasury management for APAC entitiesBack up to the Australia Accountant and New Zealand Accountant in providing support to the month end processes.Supporting the Payroll Manager with management of expense paymentsResponsible for/assisting with the preparation of the statutory accounts for the APAC legal entitiesResponsible for reconciling all intercompany transactionsAssist with the preparation of annual budget and rolling forecastsAssist with annual audits for all entitiesOther tasks as directed by your manager from time to time.To be considered for this role, you will need: Preference is for a CA/CPA qualified accountant2+ years post CPA accounting or audit experience in a large Chartered Accountants or corporate entity environmentThe person will ideally have a hands-on background in finance or accounting/auditing for a sizeable corporate/accounting entity.About you: Ability to work well with the existing team and the possession of good communications skills and a desire to succeed. Some specific attributes for the role would likely include:Great technical knowledge, IFRS (US GAAP knowledge will be advantageous)Good basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge.Ability to prioritise especially in busy periods.Attention to detail and tenacity to see something through.Experience working with integrated ERP systemsExperience with FX would be an advantageAbility to problem solve.Commitment to meeting month – end accounting deadlines and good communication where problems arise.By joining our team, you will work in a rewarding and professional environment, with a diverse team of people sharing ideas and experiences.
