Job Description An opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to be based at the Company's head office in Naval Base. The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer. The successful applicant should possess strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, great time management skills and a positive can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be offered a remuneration package commensurate with their experience and the current market. Key Duties include but are not limited to:
Co-ordination of end of month processes and reporting; Balance Sheet reconciliations; Processing of journals; Calculation and lodgement of statutory taxes; Cashflow and bank entry; Uploading and entry of bank transactions; Management of the asset register system, to include reconciling, updating, and maintaining the register of assets; Debtor claim issuing and management; Credit Card reconciliations; Lodge and review PPSR registrations; Review creditor applications; and General duties as required.
Qualifications You will demonstrate:
3+ years' experience as an Accountant, CA/CPA qualified or equivalent. 3+ years' minimum experience working in a similar role within mining, engineering, construction, contracting or similar preferred. Be highly motivated, enjoy a busy working schedule and be comfortable dealing with a high-volume workload. Display flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work autonomously, as well as integrate with the rest of the Finance team. High attention to detail with sound commercial acumen. Advanced MS Excel skills. Experience with Pronto is advantageous.
