An exciting opportunity to work with a small team of accountants and support staff operating within a well-established financial services firm awaits you!
We are seeking an associate accountant to join our thriving Sunshine Coast practice.
We are looking for candidates to begin on a three-month contract basis to start with a view to permanent.
Your key functions include:
Attend to and manage the accounting and tax needs of professional medical clients mainly sole traders and individuals.
Attend to client BAS, IAS, Payroll, tax payment plans, and queries as required.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for companies and trusts when required and take on client entity work.
Prepare client fee proposals for new and existing work using Practice Ignition.
Attend to ASIC company statements for your client group supported by our administrative staff.
Liaise with and respond to queries from our external bookkeepers in respect of mutual clients and ensure the work is finalised for review within required timeframes.
Proactive maintenance of client databases to improve data integrity.
Attend to updating the financial advice database with income and tax details to assist with financial planner reviews.
Assist with the establishment of new structures supported by our CSO.
Attending to ATO, ASIC, ABR registrations, Macquarie bank applications on behalf of existing and new clients as required.
Preparation of client correspondence & liaising with clients as and when required.
