Management Accounting & Budgeting (Accounting)
Our Client is a leading Construction company with operations across Western Australia. They focus on delivering specialist services within the civil, building maintenance, infrastructure sectors.
As the Accountant you will report into the management team and will be responsible for the daily operational accounting functions. This position is offered on permanent basis and an immediate start is available.
Key duties and responsibilities: Managing and processing payroll, AP/AR, superannuation, payroll tax, long service leave.Preparation of financial and management reports.Preparation of IAS and BAS returns.Preparation of year end accounts and workpapers.Preparation of cash flow budgets and forecasts.Posting journals, accruals/prepayments, and GL reconciliations.New client, customer and supplier applications.Credit card and bank reconciliations.Assisting with employee onboarding, ensuring contracts/letters of offer align and all payroll information is updated within the system for processing.Develop strong relationships across the business and externally.Work closely with the Finance Manager to provide support and assist with continuous business improvement initiatives and other tasks as required.Qualifications, Skills and Experience required: Previous experience working as a Accountant ideally within construction/mining industry.CPA or CA qualification.Qualified Accountant with a bachelor's degree in accounting.Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software.Proficiency in Microsoft office, NetSuite products.Strong organisational and communication skills.Strong experience with financial reporting, accounting principles and regulatory standards.What our client offers: Competitive market salary package.Permanent full-time position.A supportive and growing team environment.Well-established and reputable Construction company.About Us: Western Work Force is an Australian owned recruitment company and are a market leader in providing temporary, contract and permanent staffing solutions across various industry sectors.
