Based in the CBD, this design practice is renowned for their large-scale health, infrastructure, retail and education projects. Innovative, disruptive and wanting to leave a positive mark on the world, their work is doing just that and being recognised on an international scale.
With offices throughout Australia and abroad, they are seeking an Accountant with architectural consultancy experience, to support the growth and development of the group's entities.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day finance while supporting the executive, operation and project teams. This will include monthly, half-yearly and annual reporting for all entities, preparing accounts, cash flow and budget management, accounts management, monthly payroll and tax compliance.
You will be required to attend and contribute to project meetings and you'll be managing the financial aspects of all projects, including AR, AP and banking.
Essential Skills & Experience: CA or CPA qualified (or in-progress) 5+ years of experience in a similar role Experience in a mid to large scale Architecture/Construction company Proficient in Xero, with advanced knowledge of Excel and Word Exposure to WorkflowMax would be highly regarded Previous reporting experience in projects and contract works Knowledge of contracts and commercial matters Knowledge of statutory tax obligations (BAS, IAS, FBT, Payroll) Exceptional communication - written, verbal and listening In terms of personal attributes, you must be able to perform your recurring financial duties autonomously, demonstrate high levels of accuracy and be highly organised, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making and long-term planning. An ability to liaise with external consultants and assist the CFO in managing and implementing the group tax strategy will also be required.
