We provide service to ensure client's business profits are maximised and their financial goals are achieved. We looking for an enthusiastic candidate to commence a full-time position as an Accountant to work predominantly in the office located in Coburg.
Analysing the revenue and expenditure of a businessConducting financial investigations and audits, and preparing reportsReporting to managers, directors or shareholders about the financial health of a businessProviding advice to businesses on taxation, mergers, purchases, insolvency and financingDeveloping budget and accounting policiesLiaising with external auditorsPreparing profit and loss statements, monthly closing and cost accounting reportsResolving accounting discrepanciesPreparing budgets for clients business and/or organisationsPreparing assets, liabilities and capital account entries for clientsRecommending financial strategies for clients based on their current accounts/financial statusSummarising and reporting on the current financial status of client accounts on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual or annual (financial year) basisImplementing expenditure controls on client accounts, based on analysis of their financial needs and strategyReconciling discrepancies between clients financial accountsCompleting tax returns for individual taxpayers and organisations at the end of the financial yearProviding individual financial adviceMaintaining confidentiality and accuracy of clients financial informationMaintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending regular industry workshops, keeping up-to-date with industry news and upgrading relevant qualificationsKey selection criteria Bachelors/Masters in accounting or commerce or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills.Have at least 3 years of experienceSound knowledge of accounting policy, practice and statutory requirements; ability to analyse and report on standard statutory accounts.Good presentation, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to successfully communicate and liaise with people at all levels.An ability to meet deadlines and resolve complex issues.Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential information.Proven experience with PC based integrated accounting software and strong computing skills including Microsoft Office suite in particular a superior knowledge of Excel.If you meet the above-mentioned criteria, please apply now!
