You will work within a fast-paced team who are responsible for looking after the budgetary affairs of the Army.As an Accountant (Finance Officer/RAAPC Officer), you will play a pivotal role in providing financial technical advice to the Army, ensuring compliance to financial policy and supervising the collection of resource and financial management information for further analysis and reporting.What you'll do: Provide advice to commanders in the area of financial management of Public MoneysOversee the preparation of budgets, financial statements, cash flow analysis, accrual accounting, costings and financial analysisManage the development and implementation of financial management systemsDeploy as a Financial Adviser on Exercises and United Nations and other overseas military operationsCoordinate the training and development of personnel for employment in Field Cash OfficesProvide advice and assistance to units in the areas of Non Public Moneys accounting, including liaison and trainingManage the audit of Non Public Moneys Accounts and the conduct of fraud investigationsProvide advice and assistance to units and members in the areas of pay and allowancesAs an Accountant, you can expect to be employed as one of the following:A Finance/Business Officer in a unitA Financial Advisor on a Brigade HeadquartersA Compliance and Assurance OfficerA Business ManagerAn Officer Commanding a Finance UnitA Staff Officer on a senior HeadquartersA Training Officer at a Training EstablishmentIf you're ready to discover a fulfilling new outlet for your financial management skills and work within a unique environment, this could be the perfect role for you.
